On Monday (1/18/10), we received unfortunate news that Brad and Calista Baker’s car had been taken from them. You may remember their wish we recently announced, where we sent them a $500 gift card to Wal-Mart:
They had such a touching story, we wanted to do more for them, so we asked Calista if we could assist her by helping market her dog grooming business. Calista was very appreciative, but explained that the dog grooming may have to be postponed, as two men had just left their house (at 11pm), after repossessing their car. This puts the family in a terrible predicament, as they now have no way of getting to and from work and school, nor can they get their daughter to school.
This loving family has simply fallen on hard times, and it seems like one bad thing has led to another. As a result, they are suffering financially.
