Monica Cripe

Home Repairs needed for Family of Deployed Marine

We first learned of Monica Cripe’s story in an Indianapolis Star article that had also included our Foundation: http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2009911260450

CripeMonica, wife of Marine, David Cripe, stationed in Iraq, has been separated from her husband since June, and was pregnant at the time he left.  The couple lives in a 132 year-old farm house, and due to financial strains and Monica’s duties as a mother of (now) two, there is very little time and money left over for repairs.  The winter is particularly hard on their house, as they are plagued with a leaky roof, drafts through the house, and siding that needs replacing.

We contacted Monica following the Indianapolis Star article, and she immediately helped identify 8 other families deserving of wishes.  She refused to accept a wish for her family, but upon talking to multiple sources, the Cripe family is really in need of a wish.

Cripe-1(2)We would like to request your assistance in helping our Foundation conduct basic repairs on the Cripe’s residence.  We have volunteers standing by to help with the repairs, but we need your help to raise money for supplies and a portion of the labor. Repairs include siding, insulation, upstairs windows, and a new roof.
