Wish Process
1) Wishes submitted are added to a master wish tracker & assigned a numerical order of merit based on:
• Urgency
• Financial need
• Legitimacy
• Location
• Branch of service
2) Volunteers and members of our “Wish Committee” ensure legitimacy of each wish via chain of command, family, or other means necessary.
3) The Wish Committee then splits the wishes into the following categories:
- Grant immediately – wish will be granted within days
- Post to website – viewers can participate in granting the wish by reading the wish on our website and donating directly to the wish.
- Coordination needed – requires additional coordination, volunteers, wish sponsors, or partners.
- Temporarily on hold – wish will be held for 30 days and then further reviewed (less urgent need).
- Denied – rarely will we deny a wish. However, fraudulent activity, extravagant spending or other actions may disqualify a wish submission.
